This consultation is a basic 1 hour walk through of your home to point you in the right direction with no future commitment required! We can help select paint colors, recommend furniture layouts, suggest what pieces could be added or replaced, arrange artwork, & help with spacial flow. This is perfect if you just need a nudge! This one hour service is available to anyone in the District of Columbia & is $150. Not in DC? Give us a call to find out about our virtual option!
*If you need help beyond the first hour, or on projects not related to purchases at Hudson & Crane, our hourly rate is $125 (billed in 20 minute increments.)
The LOFT level of service is designed for clients who want help pulling a room together utilizing existing pieces. The service starts with some design homework to prepare you for your consultation. We ask that you get 3 design magazines & go through them, noting what you like, love, hate, etc. For couples, we ask that you go through them together!
At our meeting we will spend around 30-45 minutes reviewing your homework & use the rest of the time to discuss your goals for the space & going over next steps. LOFT covers everything that the STUDIO level covers, in addition to a future in-studio presentation of up to 3 individual selections (per item) & recommendations from our studio of what would work well in your space. LOFT is just $350, $150 of which we credit back towards your purchase of presented options!
* We are currently offering LOFT services to DC residents & residents of nearby cities on a case by case basis. LOFT may be offered with or without an in-home visit, depending on your project.
Want to make a major change to your home and need the help of a professional designer? If so then PENTHOUSE might be the service for you!
PENTHOUSE begins with a more advanced homework assignment to help determine your style & preferences. For couples, we ask that you do the homework separately so we can better determine your individual aesthetic. Your first meeting will be up to 2 hours, allowing us to dive deep into your design taste, vision, & budget.
After our initial consultation, we will build a customized room concept just for your space - this may include rugs, pillows, furniture, lighting, artwork, & decor. This vision of a completed space is presented to you at our second meeting through custom design boards and floorplans (as needed) to better visualize the direction. You leave our meeting with a folder filled with premium prints of the design concepts, our Guardsman Furniture Protection info, & our measurement guide. As PENTHOUSE is a full design package, we require a retainer of $750 per room to book, $500 of which we credit back towards your purchases of the presented selections after you meet the $5K minimum purchase! PENTHOUSE design services are currently offered in the District of Columbia, as well as in Maryland and Northern Virginia on a case by case basis. *The Fine Print --
Design services must be booked in person, and cannot be booked & scheduled without a visit to our studio. The minimum purchase requirement for the Penthouse package is $5000. Purchases from design services must be made within 60 days of booking to be eligible to have any deposits applied to purchases. If the client has not moved forward with their purchases within 60 days, any unused design deposit becomes forfeit for design time. Penthouse purchases can be made over time only after meeting the $5000 minimum in the 60 day allotment. All clients will receive & must sign our design agreement prior to consultation. All returns are subject to a restocking fee. All exchanges are evaluated on a case by case basis.
